ABOUT OUR NAME

John Locke was 17th Century English philosopher that came up with some of the most important philosophical theories of recent history. In fact, the United States Constitution was based upon some of his principles.

One of his most prominent theories was the idea of "the self" and how we are born without any innate ideas or biases. With this thinking in mind, we like to think that JohnLocker is a verb  that means opening yourself up to a whole new way of learning.

We hope you like this new educational venue and we hope that it opens you to some interesting and mind provoking ideas.

JohnLocker Beta Version 

JohnLocker.com was released to the general public in a open beta in the later parts of April 2008. We are currently testing features and functionality of many new features which will be available in the official launch of JohnLocker.com. Some of these features include downloading videos, one-click embedding, and a community portal.
